Output Indicators
Before getting into Output Indicators, one must know first, what an Output is. In theoretical terms, an output is a deliverable (that which can be delivered). those things that are in the hands of the project (or its staff) are the deliverable, because they can ensure that such things are delivered.
In simpler terms, an output is accomplishment made by an activity. The activity itself is not an output, but what the activity accomplishes, is an output. For example, if we have a Diarrhoea Project, training mothers on ORT (Oral Rehydration Therapy) could be an activity. So "# of mother trained on ORT" is not really an output indicator. It is only the measure of the activity. But the output could be "% of mother who know ORT".
